For those Seestar S50/S30, Dwarf 2/3 and DSLR owners that have a Skywatcher EQ Wedge mount, we introduce the Oak Astro Skywatcher EQ Wedge Riser. Attach the riser to the bottom of your Seestar, Dwarf 2 or DSLR and slide it into position on the Skywatcher Wedge. No more issues with clearance when tightening the Skywatcher Wedge up to hold your device in place.

The Skywatcher EQ Wedge Riser comes with both 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch screws to hold your device in place and a rubber footing for secure grip. Version 2 of the riser has been redesigned to fit both the old and newer model Skywatcher eq mounts which have a slightly narrower neck on the plate, it also now has a safety lip modelled into the riser to prevent the possibility of it slipping out, a requested feature for peace of mind.

* The Seestar is about to go live with official EQ support built into the app for the first time, make sure that all your equipment is in good condition and that your seestar is well balanced on your mount and tripod to avoid any chance of it falling and being damaged. Ensure that you use a sturdy tripod that is weighted where possible. There has also been a history of Dwarf 2 baseplate issues and although Dwarflab support the use of the Dwarf 2 in EQ mode we would highly recommend using a baseplate saver with the Dwarf 2 *

Fits perfectly, raises the dwarf high enough to clear the clamp screw

You’ll be glad you got it with the filter holder.

I paired this with my OakAstro filter holder to raise the Seestar S50 above the SkyWatcher Star Adventurer Wedge so the S50 rotates freely and the filter holder does not foul the wedge. It’s a simple device but quite important to the overall performance.

Oak Astro

Simple and very effective.

It is hard to fault this device! I bought it because I wanted to add different filters to my SeeStar S50 and because I wanted to reduce extraneous light getting in. It works on both counts. I recommend users read the manual as the mounting flap could easily be damaged by not following the publiushed guidance.

Superior Quality

All of the accessories are very well made and top quality. My favorite one is the dew shield. It has a little more length than other competitors and the internal flocking really make a difference.

OA-D3OAK Dwarf 3 Optical Accessory Kit

Excellent Accessory Set for Dwarflab Mini Smartscope

I recently ordered Oak Astro's dew hood,bahtinov focus mask and star diffraction set.
Firstly, I live in New Zealand, about as far away as one could possibly be from Oak Astro, I was highly impressed with the fast delivery time.
Upon inspection, the items delivered are robust, of very high quality and precision manufacture. The threaded components mate perfectly. The dew hood is internally flocked and has absolutely no internal reflections.
Owing to poor viewing conditions (overcast, cloudy nights) I have not yet had the opportunity to test the items on any astro objects, however I have no reason to doubt that they will perform as advertised.
The accessory carry bag is a nice bonus.
In conclusion, I highly recommend this product to other Dwarf Mini users.

Easy to use, great results

I've been using the dew shield since I received it, and have been very impressed. Full disclosure: I ordered and have been using itmore as a lens hood than to counter dew as so far I have not been imaging near to the dew point here in France. As a lens hood, it has been excellent and has helped a great deal! The street lights here switch off at 11 PM, but with the shield on my Dwarf Mini I've been able to get images (of clusters) even when the nearest streetlight on the road above is inside the wide-angle camera's field of view. I've also noticed improvements when imaging away from that light, as the hood keeps light from elsewhere in town getting to the lens directly.

I feel that I should also note that, despite the hood blocking part of the wide angle field of view (as was noted in the description), this does not appear to affect the deep sky mode at all. I have not as yet noticed any effect on the ability of the Mini to calibrate, to set up EQ mode, or to find, goto, and track targets.
